Standard Ceremony
For the couple who want a straightforward wedding ceremony with some of the traditional components. I will prepare your ceremony with your input. It includes a more elaborate section for the vows and ring exchange than the The 10-minute Ceremony, and normally takes about 15 - 20 minutes.
A preliminary meeting is important, where you - as a couple - come and spend an hour with me to discuss your requirements, and where we can get to know each other. Basic elements of the ceremony include an introduction, a prayer (if religious) a brief oration about marriage, exchange of vows, giving of rings, pronouncement of marriage, a blessing (if religious) and filing of marriage documents at Home Affairs. I issue a South African Marriage Certificate to you on the day. Religious or non-religious.
Rehearsal optional. Includes limited email and telephone consultation, as well as a custom marriage certificate, suitable for framing.
